So... I'm back! HELLO OUT THERE 👽. It's been a while hasn't it. Over a year in fact... and a LOT has changed those 365+ days (including getting a new job, a puppy and a house...!). I feel out of the blogging loop big time. And I'm missing it! Hence this attempt of getting back into the game.

Without getting too excited here over some cotton, these jeans have fast become my absolute faves. They're a (ridiculously) cheap take on these Stella McCartney Star Jeans - but a bit grottier looking (in a good way?!). Nabbing these for just £25 was one of my best denim purchases ever. You can get similar ones from Glamourous here. Talking of a good purchase, an inpromptu Primark trip resulted in me grabbing this £5 San Franciso printed tee. I hadn't been in for an age, so when I spotted this bad boy amongst some other beaut slogan t-shirts I had to get it.

Right, that was weird. Good weird though. C'ya next Sunday!

A Little Primark Pre-Holiday Haul - Budget Bikinis!

  The past few weeks I've been searching high and low for a flipping bikini that fits me! I'm so excited to be going on holiday in June - I haven't been for over 3 years, so I may be getting over enthusiastic trying to buy bikinis already! Even the ones that haven't been far off fitting haven't impressed me. I must have tried at least 10 different bikinis from ASOS over the past few weeks and none have been quite right. They look lovely on the website, but the cuts are peculiar and unflattering, not to mention steeply priced. I don't know if anyone else experiences this, it may just be because I have an annoying body shape to buy bikinis for and a tight budget.

   I buy bikinis as separates as I have a cup size over a DD and I'm a size 10 on the bottom. There are so many bikinis that are gorgeous, but either too pricey or they don't sell separates, or if they do, they're clip backs, so if you buy a size 16 top to fit your boobs, as I usually have to, it's too big around the back!

   

   By chance this week I popped into Primark. It had never crossed my mind to look in Primark for bikinis for some reason. I ventured upstairs and came across a surprisingly extensive collection of bikinis! Halterneck, bandeau, size 8, size 18, pretty, plain you name it, it was there! I picked 2 different halterneck bikini tops with 2 bottoms for each. One is a crochet, cream bikini, the other is a floral, frill front style bikini (as you can see in the pics below!). I tried them on and was surprised by the quality, fit and style for the price (the tops £5 each, bottoms £3 each). They look similar to ones in River Island I think! Although they're not underwired (they are lightly padded), to me they are still supportive and comfortable, so I snapped them up! If you've had the same issues as me you should pop in and try some on! I should also say that I've found La Senza to be good for bikinis, they stock a huge variety of sizes and styles.  I'm lucky enough to have an outlet near(ish) me, so I've snapped up a bikini there for under a tenner before!

 There's loads of other great holiday stuff in Primark too. I also picked up some sunnies for £1 and sandals for £6. I'm not too sure if the sunglasses suit me, but I wanted some robust enough to survive being in my bag all day as my aviators aren't surviving too well!

A Little Primark Pre-Holiday Haul - Budget Bikinis!

Another Primark Purchase - Spring Suitable, Cute, Chiffon Dress for £15

   I bought stuff, as ever, that I don't really need but can't bring myself to take back. This time, it's a blazer and a dress from Primark. Both were £15. I'll go into the blazer in my post that will follow this one.

   I spotted this dress and was unsure about it at first, but I ended up buying it and thinking "...mehh...I'll probably end up taking this back". I tried it on today and I'm in love with it! I think it's cute and girly yet a bit unusual (well, it won't be that unusual as it's from Primark, but you get what I mean). It's not overly girly though, which means it's allowed into my wardrobe - I'm still a bit of a tomboy at heart.

   It looks pretty well made and well finished for the price. The fabric is floaty chiffon, peachy cream in colour, with fuchsia and black detailing and a cute ribbon that ties into a bow around the collar. It also came with a thin, pink belt. The only thing I'm a little annoyed about is that it didn't come with a slip underneath it. I don't know if I picked up one without a slip or if they just don't have them, but for £15 it seems a bit weird not to get a slip under a dress this see-through...

   I've put a grey H&M dress underneath to counteract this, which is fine for now, but I think it will look funny in some lights. I'll probably have to get a cream one. If I pop into Primark within the next week or two and I haven't worn this out by then, then I'll see if these dresses are meant to have little slips underneath (unless any of you guys know?). Overall, I really do like it despite this though. I hope you guys think this purchase is justified by the cuteness of this dress!

Ps. My legs look oddly grey, even though they are very pale anyway. Damn lighting.

   I'm pleased (and proud) to announce that all of my essays for this terms have been completed and handed in! Just two more essays and two exams and my second year of uni will be over - it hasn't half gone quickly. So, expect slightly more regular and better quality blog posts, at least until I start the next batch of essays!

   I made another order from Next 2 Nowt, and again, I'm really impressed by the quality of clothes and the service. This cardigan looks like it's from Miss Selfridge (from what remains of the label, which they remove to prevent store returns), but was only £12.

   I'd seen this Primark t-shirt dress popping up on a number of blogs over the past few days. It's very similar to this dress being sold on Topshop for £25. It is a slightly different colour, but  spending £25 on a simple dress made from bog standard t-shirt material on my student budget seems crazy, so I snapped this one up at a just £8 straight away. There were a few midi versions left in Primark too. Fingers crossed Primark decide to bring out some other colourways as I love it! I found that the sizing ran slightly large though - don't know if anyone else found this? - so it's probably best to try it on before buying.

   The tights were quite a random purchase from Primark for £3.50. They're almost legging-like in thickness and are a maroony colour. The inside is a kind of fleecy, soft material - so cosy! From what I remember there were black and navy varieties too, which I was planning on picking up too after trying these on. I'm not so sure now though, as I've just taken them out the washing machine and there's some bobbling already on one of the legs. It's not hugely noticeable, and I'm not sure if it's from washing or wearing.

   I'm off to eat some of my leftover lasagne now... although I'm not sure if I can face it as I ate so much yesterday!

   Picked up this Tee and Cake jumper in the Topshop sale - I had seen the t-shirt version of it on their website and fell in love at first sight! I have a things for anything quirky or nerdy! I came across it in the sale rails and had to buy it! It was only £9 with student discount, I think it was £32 originally (?) and as it was the only one left (and it was in a size 10!) I had to get it. The Tee and Cake designs are always really quirky - right up my street.

   I wore it the other day paired it with a chiffon blouse, HH bones tights, DIY shorts along with some studded boots. Layering is definitely needed as it's pretty chilly outside. I will be putting a scarf around before heading outside for my walk to uni! Hope everyone is having a great weekend :)

   Hope everyone has had a brilliant Valentines Day! I spent the evening with my boyfriend munching Dominos (ohh how I've missed it!) and I even got a rose!

   Had to squeeze a bit of Valentines-ness into my outfit so wore my heart-print topped stocking tights! So pleased with the skirt - I ordered it yesterday at 5:30pm and it arrived this morning - amazing! There are a couple of other colours too, but I have a habit of buying black clothes. I've wanted a skirt like this for weeks and I'm so so pleased with it - I wish it was slightly more high-waisted but I still love it. 

   It was only £5 (+£2 for 1st class delivery) from Woow Now,  a website I'd never tried until yesterday, but I will certainly be buying more from their site. There are some absolute gems to be found on their website!
