Whistles D-ring Jumpsuit
Moschino Swimsuit
Missguided Faux Fur Coat
5 Inch & Up x River Island Mules

There are still tons of fab bits left in the sales just about everywhere. Needless to say, I've been doing a lot of sale browsing. My boyfriend can definitely vouch for that... if you're reading this Matt, I apologise for neglecting you. But I've resisted spending my moolah - I'm off to Barcelona next week so I have curbed my spending(ish). So I thought you guys might appreciate a sale picks round up.

I'm after a Chanel Boy bag look-alike and the Rebecca Minkoff number above is just perfect. It's not quite a 'dupe' as it's got it's own thing going on... I really love the quirky rucksack style. Plus, it's real leather, so you're still getting a quality piece.

Massively in love with Whistles pieces (as since forevs.)- this D-ring jumpsuit is so much like Topshop's... yet cheaper ... kid you not. The quality will undoubtedly be spot on too. Be quick though, there only seems to be a few left!
Harrods Christmas Fashion Wishlist 2013

The Row | Chanel Makeup | Michael Kors Bag | Marc by Marc Jacobs Watch | Harrods Christmas Goodies
Victoria, Victoria Beckham | Acne Shoes  | MCM

A Christmassy post. Yes, I went there. There's five and a half(ish) weeks to go until the day with turkey and all the trimmings. Got to say though, I can be a little bah humbug before December hits. I'm really not one for putting a tree up way in advance, or cracking out a Christmas tune before the 1st December. But there's certainly one big old part of Christmas festivities I love and that I'm more than happy to partake in at any time of the year. Shopping.

Now, what better store to focus my ultimate Christmas wishlist on than Harrods? For me, Harrods is incredible for not only it's famous Christmas window displays, but also for the sweet, sweet co-existence of food and clothes in one place. Luxury food + designer clothes = the dream.

Clothing and all things sweet are generally top of my Christmas lists, hence my Harrods picks! My favourite items have to be the black oversized The Row jumper and the Michael Kors bag. They'd look fab together. I love cosy knits as I'm forever complaining I'm cold... and hungry. So if the pretzels can go in the Michael Kors bag - that'd top it all off.
What designer items would be top of your dream Christmas wishlist? Also, if you're planning on popping to the store for some Christmas inspo, I'm so jealous! Darn living in the midlands.

affordable autumn coats
1) Elegant Suit Neck Woolen Coat (here)
2) Colour Contrast Zipper Design Coat (here)
3) Long Pattern Slim Fit Woolen Coat (here)
4) Zipper Long Coat with Pockets (here)

There are so many gorgeous coats stocked by the likes of Zara and Topshop (my personal fave being these Topshop Teddy Fur Coats. BE. MINE. Please...). Unfortunately I just can't fork out 80 odd squids on such dishy numbers. But, fear not, I've stalked Persunmall to find some absolutely cracking, affordable coats for autumn. These coats range from just £36 (that's near Primark pricing!) to a reasonable £43.

As I'm after a smarter-looking coat at the moment, I think I might have to give one of these a go! Shipping is free if you spend over $50 (that's around £30) and you can use the code in my sidebar to get 10% off an order over $80 too. Keep snug ;)!

Amy Valentine Charissa Rae Fashion Slave Sweet Monday

So, we've entered autumn, probably my favourite time of the year fashion-wise! I've started wearing my leather jackets again - oh how I've missed them! But, we're still getting the odd dose of sunshine, which means bare legs are still permissible every now and then. Thank god for that - as I hate wearing tights!

Here are four of my favourite outfits from September:

Amy Valentine, AmyValentinex.blogspot.co.uk, Paradise Circus - Amy looks absolutely incredible in this outfit! Those Missguided boots are killer and the Bitching & Junkfood top and shorts are just awesome. Plus, her bod is to die for! Amy's outfits are always bang on.
Charissa Rae, CharissaRae.com, Hanging On - I love bold, statement, dresses. Charissa's Motel dress is simple and perfect - the cut out shoulder are a cute detail too. I'm all over red at the moment so I'm majorly keen to steal this Motel number off of her!
Sophie Milner, FashionSlave.co.uk, Little Red - I'm also massively into tartan pieces too. Sophie's tartan Topshop top is an ideal piece. I love how she's styled it smart-casual in this post, paired with a tan Marc B bag - they look brilliant together!
Kim Parslow, SweetMonday.co.uk, Monochrome Madness - Kim's Missguided trousers remind me of my jumpsuit (here), but I still need these in my life! I'm a massive monochrome fanatic myself, so I bloody love this outfit. Good old statement trousers eh!

Whose outfits have you been loving this month? Are you an autumn fashion-lover like me?

Ps. I also write a post for the Everything5Pounds.com blog this week! Read it here.

It's about time things got a bit more interesting over here I think. So say hello to a new feature for my blog - The Fashion Blog Run-Down.

Since starting full-time work, I've got to admit, blogging regularly has become a lot harder.  But on top of that, I've found it tricky to find time to comment on posts, or even keep up to date with my favourite bloggers. And that makes me mighty sad, I tell ya.

So I had a little brainwave today. I've decided that at the end of every month I'll put together a kind of fashion blog run-down. It'll be a blast of outfits (that's the plan at the mo!) based on blogs I've read personally, but if anyone has a blog or outfit to shout about, I'd love to see it, so tweet me! I'm hoping that creating this post monthly will mean I can show some love for awesome blogs and outfits whilst keeping up-to-date with all everyone's cracking clobber.

Expect to see some inspiring ensembles and frickin' good favourites.
Let's see how this goes then!

Summer is almost officially over. Just 3 more weeks left as we head into September according to my old mate Google. I've definitely started to think about my autumn / winter wardrobe. I'm already craving jumpers, hats and jackets. And it looks like a lot of other UK bloggers are too.

1. Amy's Topshop jumper is bloody divine. I've got a thing for soft fabrics (in a normal-as-possible way). I want a pile of fluffy jumpers to roll around in (and wear). Now.
2. Think I may have to nab this asymmetric skirt off of Tasha. It's ideal for autumn - that colour is perfect! If I don't manage to steal it, I'll have to get one myself.
3.  Hermione's outfits always stand out as they often have a couple of pops of colour in them. Her neon beanie looks fab with her skirt - definitely going to add a couple more to my collection!
4. This shirt dress that Charlotte is wearing would be awesome for layering up with as it gets colder. Must. Not. Look. On. Monki.

Annnnd now I have many things to add to my A/W need list. Bet you guys do too!

(from River Island sale)
Denim Snapback | New Look

I thought it would never happen. But it did. I bought something from the Rihanna collection at River Island. Not that I didn't *like* it, per se, more that it was extortionately priced. Fortunately though, I didn't fork out a load of dosh for this dress. It was originally £70 (erm.. whaaat?!), but had been reduced to £25. This  dress-shirt combo was cried out to me from amongst the leftovers of the River Island sale. I'm well pleased with it. It'll be ideal for work. Comfy, but not too casual! Minus the cap though. Pretty sure that's not office appropriate.

Bet y'all love my chronic bitch face in the third image. My foot seems reaaaally long in that photo. Curious. Maybe that's why I'm so infuriated. Anyway, would love to know if you chaps grabbed any bargz from the River Island sale!
UK fashion blog

I seem to be a bit keen on prints at the moment! I'm loving Lazy Oaf stuff, but if only I could afford it, eh! The designs and prints are just bloody wonderful. Of course, Motel never fail to go all out on the print front. And you really can't go wrong with a jumper with a flipping top hat-wearing sloth on it. Want you in my life Mr Slothy.

Ps. If you liked my last outfit post, you can vote for me in the #IAMMissguded competition here :) it just takes one click - thanks buds!
clarks shoes sale John Lewis
All from Clarks shoes at John Lewis

I have such fond memories of Clarks. Those magical foot measuring machines made me love going to get my new school shoes as a kid! But in all honesty, it's a brand I've often forgotten about when it comes to buying some new ones and twos (that's shoes in rhyming slang for the cooler people out there!). I did pop in a few months back after seeing a luring 'sale' sign outside a Clarks store though. As it's somewhere my Mum shops at (no offence mum, love ya) I didn't expect to come across much to my taste. But when browsing I was seriously surprised.

I mean, look at these shoes I've picked out here. Some of these I could imagine coming across in Topshop or other shops in that 'cool' bracket. The prices are probably similar too, but if your childhood memories of Clarks are anything like mine, you'll remember your Mum or Dad being massively peeved that it was the freakishly fast growth of my feet that meant they had to buy new shoes rather them falling apart with wear. For me, it's a brand I associate with quality. Maybe that's why it's not seen as a go-to brand for us younger folk! But I bet you young'uns like at least one pair of shoes I've picked out here!

My favourites here are the slipper shoes - it's probably a bit weird, but I really want to touch that hairy looking bit (that does sound weird. Oh god). I'll be looking to buy some smart, long-lasting shoes soon for work and these will be on my list! I'd love to know if you've got the same memories of Clarks as I do - man, I miss those cool foot measuring machines and the good old days of flashing lights on your trainers...

cheap clutch bags

Steve Madden Mint Green Stud Regan Across Body Bag
Black Stud Tassel Duffle Bag
Nude and Transparent Stud Clutch
White Cut Out Clutch

It's got to be said, when it comes to buying super affordable, on-trend bags New Look has been my go-to shop for years now. Recently I've got back into using a black and gold cross body bag I bought from New Look about 3 years ago. I think it was only a tenner and it's still going strong - impressive!!! It's the ideal size to hurriedly pop my purse, phone and keys in and shoot out of my flat to run errands.

The top two bags I've picked out here are also bargain cross body bags from the New Look site. I've definitely fallen for this Steve Madden beauty - it's now half price and is such a cute style! I can imagine this looking super with some cut out boots. Equally, I think the duffel bag would look amazing with some boots and more gold detailing. Ohh black and gold. I do love you.

I'm also a lover of clutch bags as they have some kind of magical ability to instantly dress up an outfit. I love the cut out deets on this white clutch! For £9.99 this would be the ultimate accessory for an all white outfit. Transparent bags have been massively popular over the past months too, especially on the blogger scene, and there are a fair few in the New Look sale. Personally, they're not for me (I'm too care free about my bags, you'd have to make sure there was nothing embarrassing in there... plus my bags are full of receipts and coppers! Not worthy of a transparent bag!), but I know some are desperate to hop on that trend wagon! To be fair to you transparent bags, you do look cool.

Let me know which is your favourite, for me the white clutch is definitely my top pick!

This months finds!
Socks | Primark | £2
Bikinis | Primark | £7 for sunset set, £10 for pink set
Bomber Jacket | BANK | £12 (with student discount)

Hey guys! Apologies for being a bit quiet on the blog front. I'm currently on a serious job hunt! But anywhooo, here's my monthly best buys. I couldn't leave out my new babies, my cut out boots (sorry for going on about them haha!). I'm going on holiday next week, so I'm going to try to plan some posts in advance for while I'm away. I get my final degree result in 18 days EEEK. So hopefully just over a week in the sun will chillax me a bit!
cheap cut out boots
affordable cut out boots
bargain cut out boots

I know I'm not the only one who has been on the hunt for affordable cut out boots! With the likes of  Balenciaga screaming 'don't even bother' and Jeffrey Campell 'I require months of saving', my only option was Topshop. They've had some truly delicious cut out boots. The Adonis, Adonis2 and the Arabel... dangling dangerously in front of me like the crunchiest carrot you've ever seen. But realistically, I'd rather not fork out £85 on boots. That's the stinge-miester inside of me. I'd seen dupe boots around, but they weren't quite the ticket.

Whilst browsing next2nowt.com for potential, I noticed they had the Adonis boots for £35-45 (in my size!). They nearly had me clicking 'add to basket', until I spotted these little babies - the Aristotle boots. next2nowt don't cite the brand, just the shoe names. But a quick google revealed that these Aristotle boots were from Topshop and had retailed at a whopping £98 (- now out of stock). These were just £44, half the price, and looked almost brand new (except for missing the tassel at the front, but I prefer them without!). It was a bargain too good to be missed! And they arrived 2 days later.

So, anyone on the hunt for cheap (...maybe not cheap, but certainly more affordable) real leather cut out boots, check out next2nowt.com. The Aristotle boots are available in a size 8 here, but they constantly have new stock in, so keep them peepers peeled! Do make sure to read the item description for the item condition and size before you purchase too. These have been used, but probably only a handful of times. There are lots of other highstreet branded items to grab at cheaper prices on the site, so have a good gander!

In tomorrows post I'll be styling these boots- so keep your eyes peeled for that one!

It's bargain finds of the month time again! So for April I've chosen three fashion finds and one cheeky beauty find. All super affordable and things I've bought this month that should all still be available for you to buy. I won't ramble on, as I'm sure you'll have enough of that from the video! But as for the lippies, I've got a 'favourite lipsticks' post coming up soon, so you'll be able to see what they look like on then!

Today marked my last ever day of lectures (I've even dyed my hair purple / lilacy to rebel, I'm not ready to be an employee yet - wah!). I don't think it's actually hit me (like a massive old whale, as I'm expecting it to some point) that I'll (hopefully) never have academic education again and will have to start applying for jobs soon. Oh, scary.

Enjoy the three day weekend chaps - I'll just be doing my final piece of coursework all weekend, boo! So no fun in the sun for moi. But I'm sure I'll just pig out on sweets as I tap away on my laptop as ever.

Heyyyy guess who's just handed in her dissertation - me! Yes me, I did it! Wahooo! Although the joy is short-lived. I have a 5000 word project due in two weeks, thanks third year. On a WAY more positive note - if you saw my little ps. at the end of the last post you'll know this already, but I've been shortlisted for Best Thrifty Blogger in Company's 2013 Style Blogger Awards! I'm over Jupiter about it (even further than the moon) as it is, but if any of you would be so kind as to vote for me, robynmayday.com in category 9, then I'd be over Saturn! Thank you to anyone whose already voted or is voting now! (- exclamation mark city. Genuinely well excited though!)

I genuinely can't believe this top is just £8 - that's my kinda top! I've seen similar styles on the highstreet for around double that figure, just goes to prove that shopping online can definitely pay off! It's kind of a thin sweatshirt material and I feel pretty Fame-fabulous in it! It's so comfortable and looks super with high waisted gear. I even let my hair be a bit frizz-ay here - even more 80s ;)

Hope you've had a fab Monday!

No, I'm not having you on - this dress was a fiver. Well actually, just under... £4.38 to be exact - with postage. I don't even know how I came across it. I was just pointlessly browsing eBay one day (...everyday) and this popped up on my search. I couldn't believe my peepers! It's that polo neck style thang going on and I love the cut out shoulders - it makes it a little more original than you're average little black number.

Quick note: If you're thinking of buying this bargain (or, in fact, any other goods from Eastern Asian countries) keep in mind that sizes in these countries tend to run smaller. Take note of the measurements in the item listing! I bought a medium based on the measurements given (I'm usually a 10 in dresses for reference). It's a tad short, but as you can see from the final picture, it looks equally fab with a skirt over it! I think I'll be wearing it that way most of the time as my long body / bootay combo make it a tad too mini-dress-ish for me to actually feel clothed!

The seller I bought from is based in China. I'm a bit hesitant of buying from overseas as I've had crappy experiences in my early eBay days. But I decided this bargain was too good to miss out on, even if this was a bit crappy too - a bit of a 'why not' moment! It took its time to arrive, but it made it all the way to my letter box eventually! The seller I bought it from no longer has the black version, but they do have the same polo neck dress in grey. Otherwise, I've linked to other sellers who have this in black still above. As for ordering from China again, I'm just too impatient. I think... but having said that, there are many more bargains to be had...!
I finally got round to putting into action an idea I've had for a while now - my monthly Fashion Finds. In Youtube land, it's super popular for people to do monthly favourites videos. They're genuinely useful things and I wanted to do my own take on it. So I thought I'd start my own fashion based monthly favourites(ish) kinda videos / posts. For those of you who enjoy posts, I'll still write these in post format; for video-watchers, you watch me flail some purty shoes and clothes infront of a camera. The basic idea is that I share with you at the end of each month the things I've bought (usually bargains!) and loved recently. It's a handy little way of showing you what I've been wearing most often or things that are simply super for the price. I hope it's useful! So, here goes, the first of many Fashion Finds (poor name, but my alliteration skills only get me so far)!

In March I've bought quite a lot of stuff. Oopsie. It's definitely time for an ebay / charity shop wardrobe cull again! But my two best buys have been a rather spikey pair of boots and a simple little number from Primark. I've been really into minimalistic outfits recently, so the oversized tees that Primark are currently stocking are perfect. I've grabbed black and grey ones and they're so comfortable. Even better - they're just £3.50. I won't go on about them too much as I'm sure you've already heard me prattling on about these!

The spikey dazzlers are surprisingly comfortable. I've not worn them a lot yet but I definitely see them as my new go-to boots for dressier outfits. I couldn't believe they were only £8 and sadly I couldn't stop myself from buying them for that price! The quality is similar to New Look I'd say and I had no issues with the seller - '*^*$ A SMOOTH TRANSACTION *$&*' as those savvy fellows say on eBay..

Tops | Primark

I'd love to know what you think of this new feature! As I said in the video - it's my first one, so if I've missed out any important deets that you'd like to know then please do say so! By the way I've made my photo larger for this post, if you prefer them this size let me know (wow, you guys have a lot to comment on here haha!)

Chiffon Kimono Jacket (sold out)

Erm. So I seem to have gone on an (extremely) early holiday clothes ‘top up’. Oh and all my buys seem to be the same colour… my go-to colour, black. Oops. But at least everything was extremely affordable! Actually, I never buy anything super snazzy for holiday. Things just get sun-creamy, sweaty and basically ruined (gross, but true). I usually do a bit of a pre-holiday Primark sweep to add some on-trend bits to my suitcase (a bit like Supermarket Sweep, but in Primark and without Dale Winton). Last year my suitcase was probably 80% Primark - gulp. This year I refuse to look like the grand Primarker of the Canaries. I should probably add, my holiday is in June. But hey, nothing like being organised!

Somehow I ended up on the Select website. I think a free delivery deal was the culprit here – such a sucker for free delivery, sigh. There was a lot of potential. In fact, if I’d had it my way I would have spent over £50. But I decided 50% of it was just me being over zealous (look at me being all sensible!). So I cut my basket down to these items.

First off, you’re probably wondering what the hell leggings are doing in this ‘holiday’ post – no, they’re not for holiday! The mesh detail is rather cool and they might come in handy if summer never comes (can’t lie, it’s possible considering the current arctic climate). So onto the actual holiday buys. My favourite is probably the kimono. It’s my alternative to a cardi, as I feel weird in cardigans- not sure why, it’s a strange statement, I know! I have a similar jacket from last year and it's nice and airy to wear in the heat. And for four quid, you really can’t go wrong! Also, the bikinis at Select are ideal for me. Being top heavy it's handy to be able to buy top and bottoms in different sizes without having to splurge. It's fab to find another budget fashion store that offers this other than Primark!

My order should arrive tomorrow or Friday, so I’ll keep you updated on the ‘keep’ and ‘return’ piles. Greedily, I’m hoping that they are all keepers!

(Ps. I know black isn’t technically a colour, but I’m not sure what else to refer to it as!)

(not exact! But same print)
Primark Black Boyfriend Fit T-Shirt

I did buy something(s) other than chocolate in Belgium! Well, minus that top in the middle, no it's not chocolate, but it's Primark number from good old Nottingham. I had a bit of spending dough (well.. Euro) so I felt like buying some blogable Belgian things and these two tops seemed just that.

Starting with Brandy Melville... my god... that shop was good! I'd describe the brand as a merging of Urban Outfitters and Topshop, with a dollop of Ark and hippyness in there too. The prices in Belgium were similar to Urban Outfitter prices - this was about €20 (£17). I was reasonably happy to pay that - it was my birthday! Although I fear that the one London store will probably be a tad pricier. The top I've linked to is on the US site and isn't the exact one that I bought, mine is a longer vest top with drop arm holes, but it's the same print.

As for Pull and Bear, I've visited the store in Stratford a couple of times, but I felt like the Belgian store was more 'my style'. But actually, saying that I haven't been to Pull and Bear in London for months now! I loved a ton of stuff in the Brussels store but decided to be a good Robyn and just get one thing. It's on the UK website at £9.99 - bargain! I did pay a little more in Euros surprisingly, but only another quid or so.

Finally, my Primark top that I couldn't leave out. I've actually got a second one of these too - a grey version - but I was wearing it when I took these photos (and in my last outfit post in fact ;) ). They are ridiculously versatile, a definite must have for spring. I can definitely see these flying off those Primark rails dang quick as they're only £3.50 each and there are white, red and blue shades too.

Hooray to my fellow students who've made it to Easter break! I'm working my (fluffy purple bed) socks off doing my dissertation still, but have got plenty of posts planned! By the way, the hilarious and foremost snazzy-stylin' Tasha from So On Trend has made me her Monday-Must-Read today! How super-kind is that? She's on my blogroll (ie. one of my absolute faves) so you seriously need to check her out in her cha-mazing garbs.

This post has been worth the wait! Black, spiked boots for under £13 each - you heard me! I'm a massive fan of boots and pretty much exclusively buy them in black. In fact, most shoes I buy are black, bar a few that come out on the odd occasion when I'm feeling a bit jazzy. All three pairs are available in different colour and fabric variations if black faux leather isn't your thing, or you prefer a pop of colour on your feet!

This is another case of the "please buy these so I don't" post, just like this shoe post was, which featured UNIF Hellbound and Jeffrey Campbell Nightwalk dupes. I don't actually own any spiked shoes but I think they'd be absolutely ideal to jazz up a simple dress... ok time to stop imagining outfits with these shoes now! Otherwise I might somehow end up on the PayPal page! Although it's probably best I don't... as it would most likely result in a serious injury of some variety knowing me.

Ps. Outfit posts will resume very soon!

All from SALES :)!

If there's one thing that makes me feel instantly great, rather sadly... I confess, it's clothes. Well... also shoes. And jewellery...

So when I was given £20 to spend on whatever I wanted by Moneysupermarket, provided it made me feel good and I showed my money saving abilities, I immediately though back to my £25 outfit post. A challenge was struck - I would create a £20 outfit. Yes, twenty smackers, that's all. But I had faith in my bargain finding skills...

And so, here it is. It only took one shopping trip to buy everything. In total it was £18, but I made it up to £20 by treating myself to a pretzel smothered in icing and hundreds and thousands (yum!). In true Moneysupermarket style, I saved some dosh too. £44.99 to be precise! If I hadn't grabbed these items in the sale they would have set me back £64.99 - I kid you not!

If you want to see a little vlog of my shopping trip and a bit more about the individual items have a look at the video I made! I also chat about why I chose these bits - why they make me feel super! And of course there's a outfit video at the end.

I should probably add, the jacket wasn't bought using my rather crisp £20 note, but everything else was! You gotta keep warm guys!
(also available in black suede effect)

Have I got a treat for my fellow shoe lovers or what!

Two of the most popular shoes at the moment are UNIF Hellbounds and Jeffrey Campbell Night Walks - Hellbounds costing around £90 (and that's in the sale!!!) and Night Walks £130. But on my worldly bargain travels -procrastination- I've found incredible dupes for these two that are both under £15 from eBay!

The UNIF Hellbound dupes are a little different in terms of the look of the heel and some other little details, but obviously it's  illegal (I assume) to copy a design exactly. They're the best Hellbound dupes I've seen and the cheapest. They also come in a suede effect finish as well as these faux leather versions.

The Jeffrey Campbell Night Walk lookalikes are almost spot on apart from missing the spikes along the strap. The lavender shade is tasty though - I'm a lilac fan in spring! To stop myself buying these I'm telling myself I don't need anymore spiked things; plus I'd probably break my ankle in that insanely sculpted heel.

It's taking a lot of will power to resist either of these, so I beg you to buy ALL the available stock in a size 5 so I can't do so myself... much appreciated!
